Okay, so the names of the months were done by Christopher Perkins (who first developed this Iomandra setting).

Some of them are dragon gods from D&D/Forgotten Realms lore. One, Ashardalon, is a powerful red dragon that tried to become a god, in the 3E D&D module series.

Some, I have no idea where they came from.

I am going to redo some of them. Name them all after dragon deities or great dragons of the past. Then give a bit of background for them.

For eg. I want to name one after Arranaxus the dragon goddess of magic I have made up as our game has progressed. I will then tie this into the history of the world more :)

BTW. The Waves of Destiny campaign has taken place in Tamara. That is a dragon goddess. That will not change. But I do want to provide some details about who these dragons were.

There is now a Religion Page for Iomandra. I hope actually putting in the one place helps (rather than references to the deities and many sourcebooks under the Race descriptions).

I hope the players check it out too. Comments welcome.

Goblinoids

You know, a couple of regions (namely Sanghor) refer to goblin inhabitants. Given the nature of this unique campaign and a wish to move away from some staples we have done over, I am going to remove goblinoids from the setting.

However, I am going to use 'goblin' as a generic term people use to describe small dragonspawn. That way I can use the term goblin still and it gives new meaning to the word for this setting ;)

Regions - Colours?

Thinking of giving each region a different colour heading?

This might help when remembering which Region you were on. Also, in the history page, I list which region each event is relevant to and colour might help distinguish.

Would that help, or just make things more convoluted given we do the different Games Mechanics/Systems in diff colours? (Will the name after the date on the History Page be enough for you to scroll down and see what happened in your region?)

Though I would start a thread just to discuss the races available. (This is not a rules thread, so if you have specific Q's re race traits etc - Head to Rules & Tools Forum).

This is for setting-based Q's re races, such as, "Is such-and-such race present?"

Or ideas to help me write the few intro paragraphs for each race (like the 5E D&D Player's Handbook).

Not sure if people regularly visit site and read Home (or other page updates)? Seems I might get attention if post in forums.

Just letting people know, I have put up a Region map of my Iomandra (very different to Christopher's Perkins' maps).

Hopefully this helps you get a feel for roughly where things are.

Any of these 'full setting' style maps do not show the MANY smaller islands not shown at this scale.
