PEOPLE OF REALM

The Vale has a mix of most of the human groups found throughout Andar. Andarans make up around half of the population and are found throughout. The Rokugani have only recently claimed control here and have established themselves in Haven. The new Matriarch has been quick to send patrols and people to try and overcome problems arrising in The Vale, as he wants his rulership to look strong and secure. Akadoans have always lived in The Vale, but have a superstitious fear of the surrounding mountains, so they are mostly centrally located.

Being surrounded by the Tormarr Mountains, many mountain dwarves are found in the region. Some are trading or passing through, but many have also settled alongside the populace.

One tribe of elves live within the Vale; the Amehlo Abukhali (Keeneye) tribe. They have retreated to the southern forests and have not yet accepted Rokugani rule. They have always been helpful to the long-term rural folk, and thus there are some half-elves among the populations in The Vale.

The Rokugani have brought a few squads of warforged soldiers to Haven as protection, but the Patriarch is hopeful to use them to benefit all people of The Vale.

Ingogo and ogres sometimes raid from the surrounding mountains. The ingogo raids are mostly in the north.

Small, unknown humanoids have also been seen around the Whispering Wold. Local Akadoans believe this to be evil witch creations call tokoloshe.
