At the afternoon war council it was decided to send the Watchers with elven owl riders to the Dwarves to gain their aid in the war. They left Brahmas behind and took Mim with them. They flew until sunset and then made camp.

Hawk Day, the 28th of Kuyegwona (Ripe Corn Moon, Summer 2), 718 N.F.

Here they met King Thardah and negotiated with him, after a long process it was agreed that the Dwarves would send an army to aid Brindol, they hoped to reach the city by the 3rd of Galohni. They slept in the Hold that night.

Stalking Cat Day, the 31st of Kuyegwona (Ripe Corn Moon, Summer 2), 718 N.F.
A large thunderstorm hindered an early departure from the hold, but they were able to leave around lunchtime, just as the Dwarven army started to move. The Watchers camped in the foothills that night.

Thunder Lizard Day, the 3rd of Galohni (Drying Up, Summer 3), 718 N.F.
The Dwarves arrived.

The following four days were uneventful

Raven Day, the 8th of Galohni (Drying Up, Summer 3), 718 N.F.
The horde arrived in the east and set up camp.

Bear Day, the 9th of Galohni (Drying Up, Summer 3), 718 N.F.
The horde continued to build seige engines and prepare for their assault.

Drake Day, the 10th of Galohni (Drying Up, Summer 3), 718 N.F.
That night the wall was assaulted, Lars held the attack near his section and the Watchers were sent to protect the wall near them.

They rushed to the South Wall where they saw Giants throwing great rocks at the wall in an attempt to weaken it, they scurried the wall as fast as they could and raced at the Giants. The attack was so unexpected the Giants fell back before them, many tried to retreat to the safety of their Horde, but were slaughtered as they ran.

The Lions of Brindol led a couple of squads out to help the Watchers, as they finished off the last of the giants, a great Red Dragon came flying overhead, it came down as it heard a challenge from Brahmas, Leonidas leapt at it and the Watchers had finally met Abithriax, the great steed of Azhur Khul. Many of the lions of Brindol were slain, and mid battle a manticore came to the aid of its dragon master, it was slain and shortly after was the dragon.

The Watchers were soon called to defend the barricades against the horde which was approaching from the west. The first wave of goblins and hobgoblins was quickly dispatched, Kwahu surrendered himself to one of the hobgoblins and allowed himself to be taken towards the horde, he unleashed a powerful attack upon a band of beserk bugbears and entered the spirit realm to retreat back to join the others, this ploy almost backfired as Leonidas had followed him and was almost hacked to pieces by the beserkers. The Bugbears assaulted the barricades and in a messy battle were overcome, soon after a number of green dragon razorfiends joined the assault, these were also killed and following their attack the Watchers were called back to the marshalling area and informed that Lord Jarmaath was missing, they were to find him and bring him back to safety.
