Alright this might be a bit of a wall of text so sorry in advance.
Im hoping my other character can make it through the next session and pick up the required exp to level up (from memory I need 10). So ill make the back up/alternate character as a level 4 Artificer-Alchemist.
So working my way through;
I would like to swap CHA and INT
Not sure if you use this I want to go the human variant and take a +1 in INT and DEX and take the elemental adept Feat. I'll choose to be adept at fire.
Additional Language I'm taking is related to the roll playing so I want it to be whatever the oriental inspired dragonborn speak (learnt my alchemical potion stuff from them, thinking real world eastern medicine inspired)
Proficiency with medicine.
If you don't use the human variant rule I'll work it out with another major drawback for the feat.
I'll take the major drawback 39- self centred one -plan on using this drop in wisdom to be more chaotic/neutral or chaotic evil cause im always after more money in a roll playing sense. *-4 to WIS* to take the Magic Initiate Feat. Ill take from the wizards list. Cantrips; Light and Fog cloud. Spell; Chromatic orb.
Level 4 ability score improvement: 2 points into INT
so spread will be
S 14
D 14
C 14
I 18
W 11
CH 13
Artificer/alchemist stuff
Hitpoints happy to roll them for you next time
Proficencies:
Armour: light armour, medium armour, shields
Weapons: simple
Tools: Thieves' tools, tinkers tools, glass blowers tools, alchemist supplies(from alchemist sub class)
Saving throws: Constitution, Intelligence
Skills: Arcana, Investigation
Magical tinkering feature; 4 charges (=int mod)
Spellcasting -use tools or infused items as spell casting focus
Cantrips: 2 known at level 4.
Firebolt, Mending
Spells prepared start of each day at level 4= INT mod + 0.5*LVL= 6
always prepared from alchemist: healing word, ray of sickness.
spell slots: 3 1st level
ARTIFICER INFUSIONS, makes the items infused become magic.
infusions known: Replicate magic item (bag of holding), Replicate magic item (Alchemy jug), enhanced defence (infused in armor, gives +1 to ac), Returning weapon (infused in dagger, gives +1 to attack and damage rolls and returns to hand after its used to make ranged attack)
Alchemist features
experimental elixers -could just make this a heading feature thing on player card with box to tick to say ive used it and I'll print out a sheet card with them all.
Roll for affect of elixer, get one per long rest, can spend a spell slot to produce more and choose effect
The right tool for the job
Can make any artisans tools using tinkers tools, takes 1 hour of uninterrupted work, vanish if feature used again.
Background
Open to suggestions but I think the criminal background works best.
so that adds deception and stealth proficencies
Playing card set
Disguise kit
criminal contact background feature
as for equipment Ill grab studded leather armour, light crossbow (20bolts), dagger and was wondering if I could swap my second simple weapon for a shield?
For rollplaying stuff I'd like a collapsible table of some sort to show my wares that can fit in my bag of holding and a purple cloth to cover it/be able to sweep up everything off the table and hightail it fast when people come looking for me after selling them a potion that didnt work as well as intended. To go along with that I'd like to have bought some (5 maybe?) empty flasks.
If possible I would be looking to purchase tinkers tools asap to access my "right tools for the job feature".
Short term quest wise Id be looking for a dragonshard/gem worth 100gp for level 6 to make a hommunculus servant.
sorry again for the wall of text, happy to talk more about it and hope theres no real issues, been thinking a lot about it recently haha
