Red Gauntlet of Destiny
OK, this may make a few tweaks to your background, but here are some ideas for your gauntlet.
1. Maybe it was worn here by a fire cultist seeking the volcano, meaning it came here recently. However, 'of Destiny' might seem an odd name, as it will likely have fire powers.
OR
2. The gauntlet belonged to the great swordsman who was the partner of the wizard that created a home beneath the volcano and was entombed here after a fight with the efreet (as we discussed). I think it was mentioned he had a famous sword, but maybe there is a lesser-know gauntlet too. :)
Perhaps a combo of both where the wearer has returned to also get the sword?
