I was going to add the kenra from Amonkhet as a subrace too - I was thinking they might be better, but they are warlike too.

Not being more warlike might be a reason she left. But yeah, I would have thought a canisaran shaman-type character would be better suited for healer ;)

But I am very open for players to shape the world, so to speak. I am writing up areas of Eledros right now based on PCs from other regions. The whole idea of spirit stones for that setting came from Dion's PC BG.

Amanda was happy to play a sibeccai. Her original thought was to play a healer - cleric or druid. Not sure how well suited that is for sibeccai? I mean, obviously someone can play pretty much whatever combo they like, I'm referring to the 'Militaristic' trait. Whether that's going to be consistent in this setting, or whether you want to take them a different way.

There are heaps of tables in Xanathar's Guide to Everything that will help there, or another way is read through your class and BG descriptions and just answer the questions in the text.

I would actually practice making a character or three if I were a player. I would love to hear feedback as to whether players can follow this process and how I can improve it :)

And now I have people in Discord chat where I am likely to reach them straight away, i would just ask questions there as I go. And jumping from one PC to another has confused me too ;)

And I would do these each with their own forum like your actual PCs, so we could have different threads for each part - not scrolling up and down 1 thread. ;)

Next time, I will just complete one and then do the next. If players have not corresponded I will do what I do for my own PCs and create the rest randomly.

Here are my four possible pictures for my centaur monk. Two male, two female. I'd prefer male but got all the options I could find — they're ordered descending in order of which one I'd like to use, but if the first, second or third don't work with your world's centaurs that's fine, I'm happy with any one of them.
God it's hard to find good pictures for centaur monks.

I'm interested in the Way of Mercy, Iron Mountain or Venom-Blooded subclasses, will decide once I know which picture might work best in your campaign.

The big book being removed is a little more hazy… I think eric/linc was doing some lockpicking on it, he may have managed to pick it after 2 or 3 checks… I do remember a strength check and offering someone my crossbar though we might not have used it… from memory we removed it from the pedestal but the chain was still attached. Going to need others to help out with my memory.

I have written 3 magic scrolls - I can't remember who took those?

Lachy has written stuff in the Adventure Log I want to be certain about.

Lachy has written about another spellbook. I just am not sure about this one. Did you write any details about it.

Re Cannel casting detect magic, she stated there was magic all around her. You have to actually spend a round with item to determine whether it is specifically magic and you could spend the whole night in Poppof's lab doing that. I am pretty sure I let her choose 3 items before we left off, so I will talk to Angus regarding what items he would like to inspect further.

It would be great to get some feedback and get all players back looking at what is going on here… and with contact details on main site so we can do something about this :) Can one of you put this on FB?

I wish I had thought about it more when she selected this. There is heaps of room for a lot more minor races in this setting.

Let me know if she would rather be a canisaran, and what subrace, and I will find a home for them :D

I am back, I have sorted all my notes and folder and will be posting stuff soon and working on taking this forward. I have got myself up to speed where we left.

I am working on a list of magic in Cannel's vision when she cast the spell. She was a little confused, as a lot of stuff around her seemed magical.

I am not sure HOW I will get this game going yet. Looks like we will be online, so the sooner people sort that out the better. (Posts in other threads about that). I just want to let players know I have finally got off my arse and and back prepping this game.

(Still a LOT of of unanswered questions regarding back-up PCs too. That is fine, but I can't really do them without player input. Up to you if you want back-ups.)

As I have stated elsewhere, I am pretty sure it was Roll d20 that got hacked and the reason I am trying to swap everything to a new email… so my trust there is low. If it does it to a 2nd email, I will be filthy.

I am signing up for a/cs with Discord and Rolld20 though.

Blair (Kuraban) and myself had a bit of a play on rolld20 (using discord to talk to each other). Seems like it would be ok to play with as long as everyone had "press to talk" activated.

Certainly better than the option of not playing at all that is for sure.

I've spoken to Connors on Skype before so know he has a mic and camera (though I don't think camera is necessary, but could be useful) on his computer. The big job there would be getting him to install discord (easier IMO than in browser) and get used to using it all. Maybe Angus could help with that, given they will be isolated together, though they might need two computers with mic/camera, not sure if they have them or not.

Anyway, those are just some of my thoughts on it all. Good to see you all eager to keep playing despite the unusual circumstances we find ourselves in.

It allows us to use cards for initiative, option to create our own cards for our inspiration deck and set up macros for dice rolls. That way you each player can set up different attacks based on weapons/spells.

Example I want to attack with my short sword, clicks short sword attack button I've made and proceed to roll which rolls a d20 and takes into account modifiers Ive put in.
It outputs "character name makes a short sword attack [dice result + modifiers eg 19] "
If its enough to hit I press my short sword attack dmg button and get "character name deals [dice result + modifiers]

I think this could be a real winner for us playing online.
Would be great if others had a play with it and see what they think.

• Tabletop simulator. Seems to have potential since it has a lot of premade assets we can use but requires us to buy it (from memory roughly $15 each though some may already have it) which allows players and DM to set up table stuff, best feature from what I've heard, it has a flip the table button.
• Fantasy grounds which I've had a tiny bit to do with playing around with it ages ago, didn't seem overly user friendly for the DM trying to learn how it all works and not sure if it requires a lot of money to get all the content that we might want to run games (article made it sound quite expensive)
• Roll 20 is free and from the tutorial Im roughly halfway through seems pretty user friendly and straightforward to use from the DMs and players side of things, all assetts we would probably need seem to be free but there is an option for premium content unsure if there are any already free generated maps etc for us to use, will check out after tutorial

All of these allow DM master control and players limited control, Dm able to have things hidden from player view and virtual dice rolls for all.

I was just using the generic terms from 4E D&D for the homelands. ;) Just like CHris Perkins did for his Iomandra.

4E did a good job of generic homelands that you could port into any setting. I have done it for at least 2 worlds.

Not sure if that is cool now, but it was when these terms appeared throughout the 4E books ;)

It would be good to get this up. Any player can do this. If no one interested, then I will put some notes up, but it would be good to get everyone up to speed BEFORE the next session… which I am trying to arrange, but keep hitting hurdles.

Also, note that some of these deities started as 'racial' deities. Whilst certain members of a race may favour some gods (like dwarves and Moradin), these are not racial deities. In fact their appearance might vary by race. Dwarves see Erathis as a construct/machine, but humans see her as a human.

Note also some gods are different to their standard lore. Gruumsh here is CN (not CE) and is more primal in appearance. Just like the orcs of the world - they are not necessarily evil, but CE orcs and others can still worship Gruumsh's destruction aspect.

I am thinking of moving Torog to CE to compensate, plus it suits and differs him from other slithering deity, Zehir.

Altitude of the hills, weather/climate of the area.
How travellers get there most by road? Cannals/river travel then travel up the hills on thin mountain roads?
Are there any other small mining communities/towns and how they feel about the potential economic monopoly they wield over these smaller ones.
Wild animals traditional to the area.
Did they provide aid in the big fight?
Rivalries/alliances with other dwarvan communities.
Are the wider community of dwarves ruled by a council or king or theocracy same as here?

Eledros it is then. :) That is pretty cool. The early explorers from the west that made it to the coast used a lot of Greek-sounding names and it is fine the whole setting/continent bears such a name. :)
